Lovers of the beauties of the Ardèche, we will be happy to welcome you to our home in the heart of “Les Sielves”, a small protected hamlet in the commune of Chambonas.

Entirely and carefully renovated, this 17th century (1661) stone building, classified 4**** (and 4 “épis” Gites de France), offers the best level of comfort and equipment (4G mobile networks, WiFi, TV, blu-ray player, plancha, barbecue, wood stove, efficient central heating…) and allows us to receive our guests all year round.

Structured around a large two-storey indoor terrace, the various residential buildings offer our guests multiple living spaces to relax or, on the contrary, to isolate themselves according to the mood of the moment.

The 5 bedrooms, which can accommodate 11 people (12 on request with an extra bed), each have a shower room and a private WC. For the greater comfort of our guests, sheets and towels are provided as well as foutas for the pool.

The magnificent swimming pool area, exclusively reserved for our guests and offering a breathtaking view of the valley, guarantees extraordinary days of relaxation around the large flat-bottomed pool with submerged beach, the bowling alley or leaning against the pergola protected bar.

Ideally located in the heart of the southern Ardèche and its many rivers, you can enjoy, in the immediate vicinity, its exceptional sites (Gorges de l’Ardèche, Pont d’Arc, Grotte Chauvet, Aven d’Orgnac…), its sporting activities (canoeing down the gorges, mountain biking, hiking, horse riding…), its villages with outstanding character (Balazuc, Labeaume, Naves, Banne…) and its producers’ and artists’ markets…

Pool area

Large private swimming pool with panoramic view

The huge private swimming pool area at the back of the house, benefits from a panoramic view facing south over the valley towards the villages of Chambonas and Les Vans.

The large flat-bottomed pool (9m x 3m50 – depth 1m35) allows the whole family to enjoy the water during the warm sunny afternoons of the Ardèche summer. An immersed beach (25cm) also allows the little ones to enjoy the freshness of the water under the supervision of their parents.

To guarantee the best bathing comfort and because of its ecological and bacteriological qualities, we have chosen an automatic salt treatment in preference to the addition of chemical chlorine.
The salt electrolysis, controlled by an automatic regulation, ensures the creation and diffusion, directly in the water, of natural chlorine ensuring a perfect disinfection of the pool.
All the dosages are checked weekly between each rental; an additional check is also carried out every Wednesday morning.

11 sunbathing spots and a few Tropeziennes will invite everyone to some well-deserved moments of relaxation to rest after the more sportive hikes offered by our beautiful Ardèche.

At the end of the afternoon, the bowling pitch will allow intense games of pétanque or Finnish Mölkky skittles (provided).
The small bar under the pergola has a refrigerator to keep the cold drinks quickly available when the sun becomes intense.

PLEASE NOTE: Particular attention has been paid to child safety with 2 simultaneous devices :
– a peripheral barrier with a safety gate in accordance with the NF P90-306 standard.
– an immersed roller shutter in compliance with standard NF P90-308 .

Reception and additional services

Welcome: in order to guarantee you a perfect stay, you will be welcomed upon your arrival by the owner who will be able to answer any questions you may have about the cottage or the region
Preparation of the rooms: upon your arrival, the beds will be made. Towels and foutas for the pool are also provided free of charge.
Baby equipment: on request, we can provide you with the necessary equipment to welcome a baby in room 1 (cot + bedding, high chair, changing mat, bottle warmer). Please let us know a few days before your arrival. This service is of course offered.
Weekly cleaning package*: 150€ – On request, a complementary cleaning service during the week is available at the price of 30€/hour. In case of a stay longer than a week, linen and sheets are systematically changed and the cleaning is done every Saturday.
*Compulsory: single flat-rate contribution regardless of the length of stay – Includes an additional phase of Covid-19 disinfection (O² Care Services Protocol)
Tourist tax: 1€ / adult / night
Other expenses: Water and electricity consumption are free.
In cold weather, the heating of the cottage (central heating) is included in the rental (the house is hot when you arrive). Wood for the living room stove is provided free of charge.

General conditions (extracts)

In accordance with legal obligations (article L.324-2 of the Tourism Code), the rental will be the subject of a written contract, signed by both parties and accompanied by a detailed description of the premises. An inventory of fixtures will be carried out on entry and exit.

  • Booking: The booking becomes effective (blocked calendar) as soon as the tenant has sent the owner a deposit of 50% of the total amount of the rental and a signed copy of the contract. The balance is to be paid 6 weeks before entering the premises.
  • Capacity: the capacity of the cottage (11 people, adults and children) cannot be exceeded unless a specific request is accepted when the contract is signed. On request a cot (+ equipment) can be provided free of charge.
  • Arrivals and departures: arrivals take place between 5pm and 7pm; you will be welcomed by the owner who will give you the keys, as well as a welcome booklet detailing everything there is to know about the house and all the useful addresses. He will be happy to answer any questions you may have and will remain available throughout your stay. Please inform in case of late arrival so that he can be present. Departures take place at 10am.
  • Ancillary costs :
    • Housework package (obligatory): 150€ – The cottage must be left in order, the dishes clean and tidy and the bins emptied. This package does not include cleaning the barbecue and plancha, which must be left clean.
    • Tourist tax (1€/night/adult person) will be collected on behalf of the municipality .
    • Deposit: a deposit of 1000€ will be requested on arrival; it will not be cashed and will be returned to you on departure after the inventory of fixtures.5

Specific clause “Money-back guarantee” Covid-19 (addendum to the lease contract)

In case of cancellation by the lessee up to 6 weeks before the beginning of the stay, the lessor undertakes to reimburse the deposit paid :

  • If the lessee is unable to go to the place of rental because of the regulatory provisions put in place by the State related to the fight against Covid 19 (confinement of the region of origin, travel ban, etc.).
  • If the lessor is obliged to give up the holiday rental because of the regulatory provisions put in place by the State related to the fight against Covid 19 (access restrictions, prohibition to rent, etc.).

This clause does not apply, however, to other grounds of impediment which the lessee may invoke (closed tourist attractions, personal concern, accident, illness, individual confinement, etc.) or which may be the subject of cancellation insurance. Where applicable, the general terms and conditions of the contract shall apply.

Insurance

Resort Civil Liability: Mandatory, the rental contract requires a “Resort Civil Liability” insurance coverage that covers, during your stay, any damage caused to the premises or to third parties. This clause may or may not already be included in your multi-risk home insurance policy: check with your insurer.
Cancellation: Optional insurance to cover the risk of a hazard that would jeopardize your availability for the booked dates.
Update COVID-19 to September 14, 2020: the contract now covers the insured, his or her spouse or a member of his or her family as well as any person living in the same household in the event of a positive COVID-19 diagnosis before the departure date and preventing him or her from travelling.

For one or the other of these insurance coverages (2 options), we have negotiated preferential conditions accessible to guests of the “Terrasses des Sielves”.

NEW Season 2020-2021: Coverage at 50% of your cancellation insurance

Due to the uniqueness of the place, bookings for our house are usually made between 6 and 9 months before the start of the stay, especially in high season.
In order to secure our guests against the always possible contingencies on such delays, we have decided to take charge of 50% of the amount of the cancellation insurance premium (optional). This commitment concerns the TRANQUIL’OC contract to be taken out with CHAPKA Assurance (link to be used for quotation or subscription).

From LES VANS in the direction of CHAMBONAS; cross the Chassezac bridge then turn left in the direction of LES SALELLES.
