Lovers of wide open spaces and wild landscapes, groups of friends fond of nature sports, large families in search of rest and serenity, come and visit us in Southern Ardèche, we will be pleased to welcome you.
After a few days spent in our house, you will soon be, like us, “Amazed by the Ardèche“.
A historic building in the heart of a protected hamlet
Our 17th century house, completely and carefully renovated, was offered for holiday rental in June 2019. Roof in lauzes and walls in sandstone, it is classified 4**** (certification Atout France™) and 4 épis (Gîtes de France™) and is labelled “Gîte de charme”.
Situated in the commune of Chambonas, the hamlet of Les Sielves is made up of a dozen houses and only 3 inhabitants year-round; its exceptional buildings have earned it classification as a heritage protection zone.
Offering unrivalled tranquillity, this hamlet is within easy reach (4 km) of the small town of Les Vans and all its shops.
An exceptional level of comfort and facilities
4 years of total restoration, respecting traditional techniques, have enabled us to bring to this house all the comfort of the 21st century and an incomparable level of equipment: 4G mobile networks, Wifi, UHD TV, Blu-ray players, Bluetooth speaker, plancha and barbecue, wood stove, efficient central heating, but also… a plethora of kitchen equipment, toys for children and games for adults, baby equipment, …
Under the Ardèche summer sun or by the fireplace in winter, we can receive our guests all year round.
A large gîte, multiple spaces to meet with family or friends
Structured around a vast interior terrace on two levels, the various residential buildings offer our guests numerous living spaces to meet up or, on the contrary, to isolate themselves according to the mood of the moment.
Sheltered from the hot summer sun, the large covered terrace is ideal for convivial meetings around the large plancha or barbecue.
The large panoramic lounge allows everyone to meet around the large UHD TV or the wood stove offering a 180° view. A second lounge/library offers books, guides and board games.
Don’t forget our year-round guests, 3 charming goldfish in the pool on the lower terrace; you’ll have to think about feeding them: a task usually claimed by the youngest of our guests.

Accommodation to the highest standards
The 5 large air-conditioned rooms, with their evocative names and tasteful decor, can accommodate 12 people (10 adults max) and each has its own private bathroom (walk-in shower) and WC. For the greatest comfort of our guests, sheets and towels are provided as well as foutas for the swimming pool.

A magnificent private swimming pool area with panoramic view
The large swimming pooll, totally secured for children and exclusively reserved for our guests, offers a breathtaking view over the valley. This exceptional setting, a constant invitation to idleness, is the promise of extraordinary days of relaxation around the large flat-bottomed pool with submerged beach (paddling pool), the petanque ground or leaning against the bar under the shelter of the pergola.

Les Terrasses des Sielves are located in the heart of the southern Ardèche and its many rivers, a few kilometres from Vallon Pont-d’Arc and the Ardèche Gorges Nature Reserve.
In the immediate vicinity, you will be able to take advantage of admirable natural sites (Pont d’Arc, Chauvet Cave, Orgnac Pothole, Païolive Wood…) and a wide range of sporting activities (canoeing down the gorges, mountain biking, hiking, horse riding, potholing…).
You will revisit the medieval past of the region through the villages of character and the most beautiful villages of France (Balazuc, Labeaume, Naves, Banne…) and discover the exceptional local soil by visiting its producers’ and artists’ markets.
